HOW TO PERFORM ON ST. ARMANDS CIRCLE

St. Armands Circle is a beautiful commercial community adjourning a residential community, within the City of Sarasota.  


All ordinances are set by the City of Sarasota.  Although we have paraphrased the ordinances for you below, we suggest reaching out to the City directly for clarification.

Sales or Donations?

You may not sell or ask for money in exchange for a product or service.  You are able to place a donation basket by your performance area. 

Busking is permitted in public areas within the City of Sarasota without a permit.

The four medians in St. Armands Circle are public spaces and you are able to perform in these areas.   


Ensure you and your onlookers do not block the sidewalks. Please provide 4 feet of walkway for pedestrian safety.


You can set up in the Circle Park unless there is an event going on, as they will have a permit for that space that is from curb to curb.  

Private Property

You should not set up in front of the stores without speaking with them first. Some of these areas are private property, and some have sidewalk permits for tables or their own entertainers. 

Sound & Power

Music should not exceed 65 decibels.


There is no outdoor music from 10:00pm to 7:00am the following morning.


Permits (from the City of Sarasota Special Events Department) are required to plug into the City power outlets.
