St. Armands Circle announces summer happening series
On Jun. 1, the Circle will light up a new “Sol of the Circle” summer series with reoccurring monthly happenings all summer long
ARASOTA, Fla. – St. Armands Circle, the renowned shopping district located between Sarasota Bay and the Gulf of Mexico, announced on Thursday, the destination will officially kick off a new summer happening series from Jun. through Sept. – “Sol of the Circle.”
Sol of the Circle, a joint effort by the St. Armands Circle Association and St. Armands Business Improvement District, will invite locals and tourists alike to immerse themselves and enjoy distinct reoccurring monthly happenings and a new arts-focused event scheduled for Sept. 18. The Sol of the Circle summer series will last from Jun. to Sept. 2021 and is expected to include:
- Songs on the Circle – Every First Tuesday of the Month, 6-9 p.m.
- Breathe: An Outdoor Yoga Series– Every Second Wednesday of the Month, 6-7 p.m.
- Armands Family Day – Every Last Sunday of the Month, 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.
- Sarasota Arts LIVE – 18, 2021
Sol of the Circle will officially kick-off on Tuesday, Jun. 1 at 6 p.m. with Songs on the Circle. The happening will bring a collection of eight local musicians to the bustling sidewalks of the Circle, each setting up for an impromptu performance for passerby’s, shoppers and diners at each corner of the Circle. Those strolling the Circle during the three-hour happening will be able to walk from shop to shop or stop for a bite while listening to a variety of favorite musical stylings and genres.
Each second Wednesday of the month, St. Armands will host Breathe: An Outdoor Yoga Series. Beginner and experienced yoga enthusiasts can relax and get a quick workout by bringing their own mat and stopping by the lush Circle grounds for a free class from a trained, local yoga instructor.
The third and final monthly Sol of the Circle happening is St. Armands Family Day. This recurring event, held on the last Sunday of each month, focuses on family fun activities and entertainment for kids and parents. The series will create kid-focused educational activities hosted at the Circle’s iconic and accessible outdoor activity spaces for the whole family to come together to learn and enjoy a night out.
Sol of the Circle will crescendo on Sept. 18 with Sarasota Arts LIVE, a one-time special ensemble of performances and immersive artist experiences spread throughout the area. For the event, the Sarasota Arts community will bring their talents to the main stage of St. Armands Circle, allowing art enthusiasts and visitors to jaunt from quadrant to quadrant taking in live painting sessions, performance art and interactive exhibits.

We believe this series is another extension of that vision,” said Geoffrey Michel, Chairman of the St. Armands Business Improvement District (BID).
